June 2012 - Metro Wastewater Reclamation District Chooses CGMobility for Mobile Waor Management

CGMobility: Mobile work management system for wastewater preventative and corrective maintenance work
In June 2012, Metro Wastewater Reclamation District selected CGMobility to help manage all mobile work for their maintenance field crews. CGMobility will be used for all field work as directed from the Infor EAM work and maintence management system. CGMobility will also be used to record and process actual work time for each crew member, sending that information to ETS, an employee time tracking system.
Metro Wastewater Reclamation District seeks immediate efficiencies using CGMobility including:

  • Integrated warehouse and work management operations - With CGMobility, the field users will be able to order picklists from spare parts or the broader item list from InforEAM and have those orders ready to pick up by the time they get to the warehouse. This new process will save many hundreds of hours per year.
  • Removal of paper work orders - Removing the paperwork has immediate benefits not only to the administrators and supervisors who review the work but also to the field workers too. The immediacy of field notes and updates beign sent to Infor EAM will improve work recording on assets as well as communicate work status on complex, multi-day jobs.
  • Advanced disconnected-state capabilities - CGMobility will be used in online and offline work scenarios as the vaults and other facilities on the campus do not allow for 100% network coverage. CGMobility will cache locally operation manuals, Infor EAM reference data and rules, and engineering drawings so that the users can effectively complete their work without the network. And because CGMobility is transaction safe, all work recorded during offline times will process as soon as a network connection is available.
